We use the guidelines below to ensure projects run smoothly and as quoted, as well as help you understand our processes.
Following these guidelines will ensure your project is completed in a timely manner.
A deposit is required, as we often have to wait months for the feedback / content we need to complete projects.
This is done largely via email and telephone. Feedback is best submitted digitally in writing as telephone / meeting notes tend to lead to miscommunication and errors.
Prior to starting the project we will ask you to complete our creative brief and list your requirements. Please give as much information as possible to ensure the design is as intended. Based on this information we will design one concept. changing or amending the design is fine at this stage, as our website packages include one free redraft. Additional redrafts or multiple concepts will be chargeable unless agreed prior to the project starting.
We now turn the approved concept into a functioning website. We will ask you to test the website on your computer, as well as mobile devices such as phones and tablets. Unless otherwise agreed, the mobile versions will be a re-sized / cut down version of the approved concept. At this point, changes to the design are more time consuming than if undertaken at the ‘Concept’ stage and therefore may be chargeable.
This stage is a common cause of delays, so we recommend you start collating your content when the project starts. A final draft of text should be checked for spelling and grammar before it is submitted to us, with any additional content (such as images) sent at the same time. Amending text can be time consuming, therefore may be subject to additional charges.
After we have added the content, the website will be sent to you for final review. Any amends at this stage should be sent in one go. Additional stages of amends may be chargeable.
